InDesign is a powerful tool in creating album templates. There are so many great perks!
First off, all of the files are working remotely, so that it does not take up much system resources. The images you see in the panes are only temporary images. So rather than working in 60 pages of high resolution images, it’s actually 60 pages with tiny resource-friendly images.
Secondly, images are magnetically clipped to the panes. You can resize, adjust, rotate, etc. all within the Master Pages.
Third, the Master Pages are your friend. You can drop images in there effortlessly. Additionally, you can add pages or omit pages right in the middle of the album with ease. Photoshop does not allow that. Plus, Master Pages allow you to set bleeds and cuts, so that your printer / lab does not have to call you about it haha!
Lastly, you can export all of the pages in jpg (jpeg), pdf or other formats. Super easy!
