My goal was not to create yet another wedding photographer blog theme. The intention was to help photographers (and creatives) market themselves better.

When I was a full-time photographer, I have been known as the most inquired photographer through tactical marketing of which I applied many of the concepts within these themes. Since then, I share high level strategies on my blog. Enjoy!

Sample Blog Users

Soft Tofu 3

This blog version has a two types – one column and two columns. Both of them have a number of marketing attributes added that make them my favorites. There are no parent-child nodes to maintain simplicity.

3.3 – One Column

One column because you all love it so much! Full mobile and iPad compatible.

The beloved one-column theme will temporarily be unavailable unless through customization from one of the contracted developers. Updates are currently being made to this one.

Is it possible to add a new section/page and a navigation link and insert a gallery/slideshow page separate from the blog entries? If it is possible, would I need a plugin for that function? I want a portfolio section and for users to be able to browse images in albums by topic – for example, portraits, landscapes, etc. I’ve seen themes that initially seem OK, but when you click on gallery or portfolio, it takes you to a completely different site, usually flash-based, and I don’t want that.
    Thanks,
    Diane

To create a new page is simple – Add New Page. In terms of a portfolio, it’s very doable, but relative to your tastes. There are several gallery type plugins in the WordPress library that you can use. Just got to find one you like!

      • Diane says:

OK, thanks for that. I just wondered whether there was any facility built in to the theme, but I will be OK using WP tools if that’s what is required. It’s just that I’ve tried a few gallery plugins and none of them has really excited me.

    Hi Lawrence. Please help.

in my dashboard, i go to tuforious theme option to go and make changes, but then for some or other reason it opens up on that page, but then directly direct me to actual blog, so it doesn’t allow me to actually stay on that page long enough to make changes on my blog. It never gave me these problems in the beginning, now that i want to make changes it doens’t allow me to. How can I solve this.

Hi, I would like to know if the Tofurious allows me to create submenus. I just tried to add a parent category but it doesn’t appear so I’m wondering if it’s not supported.

    Thanks!

Technically, it’s possible, if you have someone code it for you, but I am trying to force everyone to simplify. :)

I ma loving the 3.2 -Two columns . Thanks to your posts.

  8. Sabrina says:

Is it possible to get a rounded picture look in the 3.3 blog theme? I have a rounded corner pic effect on my website and I’d like to have the same look on my blog. WITHOUT having to purchase pro photoblog just to get one theme for 199 bucks. I LOVE this theme WAY more and that’s the only thing holding me back.

    • Lawrence says:

Rounded corners can be done through codes (CSS), but it’s probably easier if you have them converted beforehand. You could easily run a script with Photoshop while optimizing photos for web presentation.

  9. Love my template, love the ease and love the ease my viewers have while going through the images! THANK YOU LAWRENCE CHAN! YOU’RE FANTASTIC!

  10. Dan M. says:

the one column is not compatible with WP3.3, isn’t it?

    • Lawrence says:

Sorry. Just made an update. WordPress 3.3 compiled all of the javascript into its system, so it’s making repetitive calls.

An update will be made shortly. Use the contact form if you need any help after the post.
