Don’t you just hate it …

No more getting the codes from Pinterest Goodies for each photo. Bleh.
No more hitting the Pin It button at the bottom of a Page and having to search for the photo. Bleh.
No hover (mouse over) to activate, which isn’t so great for mobile viewers. Bleh.

Installation

Use the automatic WordPress plugin installer (detailed instructions here) or upload the unzipped files to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory

FAQ

Remember that not all plugins are compatible with other themes and / or plugins.

1. I installed the Pinterest plugin, but no pins appear.
– If you do not see the Pin It buttons after install, clear your browser’s cache or purge your WordPress cache (e.g., SuperCache).

2. Even though I hit the “Do NOT pin button,” there’s still a pin.
– Make sure to hit “Save All Changes” to save modifications.

3. I use FancyBox / ThickBox. Will this cause a conflict?
– The Tofurious Pinterest Plugin uses Fancybox, which is a common javascript library, so there might be a conflict with other Fancybox plugins. If it happens, deactivate all plugins and activate them individually to see what is causing the conflict.

4. I set my padding to 0px, but there’s still spacing.
– That means that your theme has set padding for your images by default. You will need to modify your WordPress theme to get the pin closer.

5. I uploaded a new button, but it doesn’t appear.
– Make sure that you include the link URL (just hit File URL — see image).

6. My Pins link to another photo.
– The plugin uses the image URL in the database. So, you must use the WordPress image uploader in order for it to reference properly.

My photos are sized beyond the blog theme’s width.
– If you want to use resized photos for your blog, you must include the width and hight attributes. Without that, it will call upon the full sized image uploaded.
