Howdy,
The last time I was at La Venta Inn was when photographing Sujin and Jesse’s wedding. I love the view from La Venta Inn – I sure would not mind having a residence on top of Rancho Palos Verdes. It’s never fun driving up during the night though; it gets really really dark.

I had the privilege of working with Tim as that evening’s event coordinator. He was super cool! I even forgot a cord (shhh) for one of my AlienBees and he lent me one (since they’re the same as any PC computer’s). While snooping around the office, I saw my brother’s giant portrait still there – oh yeahhh!
Assigncorp was celebrating their 10th anniversary in conjunction with the holidays! The previous time when I photographed for this company was for a Diwali.

Since the families of the employees were invited, lots of preparations were made to entertain the kids. There were so many arts and crafts! I would “assist” some of them simply because I wanted to partake in the fun. Personally, I’m someone who colors within the lines. And they were…not doing that.

Some cute details…

After the award ceremony and dinner, dancers were invited to perform for the guests! Indian dancers are so colorful! Every time I get to photograph Indian weddings, I always have a blast soaking in the aura.

The rest of the evening was dancing, dancing, drinking, dancing, laughing, and hugging…

Thanks Tim and Umesh (Assigncorp) for having me!
Sincerely,
Lawrence Chan
